Akala | 10 Years of Akala Tour | December 2016

Every so often an artist stands out of the pack and brings something to the industry that is truly unique but at the same time, honest and unforced.

BAFTA and MOBO Award-winning hip hop artist, writer and historian AKALA is one such artist. Today, PS Music Group and Call & Response are proud to announce the ’10 Years Of Akala’ tour. Culminating a decades worth of work of the true social warrior, the iconic and outspoken UK stalwart is to bring his unique and praised performances to Australian and New Zealand shores this coming December.

Inspired by the likes of Saul Williams and Gil Scot-Heron, Akala’s performances have gained the reputation of one of the most dynamic and moving in the world. With a conscious approach to his craft, Akala will take us on a journey of his works spanning his impressive career…sometimes fiery and emotive and at other times sombre and confronting.

The Coathangers | Nosebleed Weekend Tour | Sep/Oct 2016
The Coathangers

Atlanta garage punk trio The Coathangers have lined up two shows on New Zealand soil to support the release of their fifth studio album Nosebleed Weekend.

The record came out earlier this year hot on the heels of the band’s breakthrough 2014 album Suck My Shirt, and also sees the infectious act mark their 10th anniversary after having formed in 2006 as a joke. These shows will be power-packed performances not to be missed, and as a cherry on the top there will be a special tour 7-inch record up for grabs.

Frazey Ford | Australian Tour | March/April 2016
Frazey Ford

Following on from a huge year of international touring in 2015 after the successful release of her record Indian Ocean, Canada’s Frazey Ford and her band The Quiet Revolution will be gracing Australian soils for Bluesfest in March 2016 and playing a run of sideshows in Sydney Melbourne & Adelaide.

Though her latest critically-lauded album Indian Ocean came out late 2014, the former Be Good Tanyas vocalist recently caught the viral attention of everyone from NPR Music to Buzzfeed to Rhythms Magazine Australia with her feisty music video for stand-out album track “Done”, which not only showcased her dance moves and sassy strut, but also Frazey’s fabulous jumpsuit collection.

“Frazey Ford lets fly on her latest single ‘Done’. Lifted from her second solo album, Indian Ocean, ‘Done’ is a breakup song with attitude. And Ford has made a film clip to match.” – Rhythms Magazine (AUS)
